Jewellery

I have recently started making jewellery and I am totally hooked on it. I have bought a few kits to get me started and managed to make them from just written instructions which I am really pleased with. I have also recently joined a jewellery making course at a school near me anyway have a look and tell me what you think.



This was the first thing I made started off with threading a simple bracelet. I made this out of freshwater pearls and Swarovski ELEMENTS pearls.





These are the next pieces I made from out of a magazine and ordered the stuff on line.


I made these for my Mum for Mother's Day she was really pleased with them.


This is what I made in my jewellery class, I learnt how to make jump rings from scratch instead of buying them they are very fiddly. I also learnt this technique which is called chain maile which requires a lot of patience how I didn't throw it across the room is beyond me lol

My Favourite TV shows

I am totally giving this post to my fav TV shows, yes I know it has nothing to do with craft but its my blog and I wanted to put this up. Feel free to comment.

Last but by no means least is Dollhouse with Eliza Dushku who played Faith the rogue Slayer in Buffy the Vampire Slayer another of my fav shows and this show also comes from the writer of Buffy Joss Whedon. This show was only meant to last one season but I am glad that they have brought it back for a second. Not sure where this is going to be honest at the moment but I am intrigued to find out.
Next is Bones who would have thought that David Boreneauz (who played Angel) would end up in a show like this he plays his character quite superbly and its about time him and Bones got it together don't you think?
Then its Supernatural can't decide which one I like more Sam who is very straight down the line or Dean who is always cracking jokes I think this is also well written and thought that after the first season the second they would run out of ideas but its now into its fifth and final season and it is still very good but sadly this is the last one. I will be sad to see it go.
The next favourite show of mine is The Mentalist he is sooo sexy don't know what it is about him think its his smile and his eyes.

Dexter has to be one of my favourite shows it is so well written and Michael C Hall plays Dexter so well its just pure genius.

Altered Book

This is the back of the book, the whole book isn't finished but feel that I had lost my way and where I wanted to go with this so have left it for a while and will eventually come back to it.

The next few pages to follow are definitely me experimenting with techniques and designs.

As you can see for these next two pages went with experimenting with paint and textures the angel picture on the left gave me the inspiration for these pages as I changed the way it looked on my computer and went for brushstrokes and this is how it came out.

I then completely swapped my train of thought with the next page and decided to go with other things he likes. Angels that kind of thing, as you can see I have made a pocket that I have inserted tags into.

This next image is the inside of the book, I chose a song that my other half likes and printed it onto Vellum thought it made a nice touch, then attached it at the top with some nice threads.

This is my first attempt at an Altered Book. I was going for a love type theme as was originally make it for my other half as a present. I found this gorgeous wrapping paper from Papertree its got velvety hearts on it.
